Closomat is kicking off the Autumn webinar season with a brand new topic, which promises to get right to the heart of adaptations.

Although bathroom adaptations are just one part of the OT’s assessment, it’s arguably the most sensitive.  As such Closomat aims to come at this webinar from both the theoretical and practical angles.

We plan to get through as much info as we practically can but realise that this is a very important subject for many Occupational Therapists and so, realistically, we will probably have to tackle the topic again in the near future.

Supportive materials

With more than 15 webinars under its belt, Closomat has led the way in the delivery of key clinical learning over the past two+ years.

But the learning doesn’t end at the close of the webinar – Closomat will be publishing complementary documents which will directly support the content delivered by The OT Service during the webinars.

All of our previous webinars and our new style shorter webinars ‘Learn@Lunch’ are available to view on our YouTube Channel and website here: https://www.closomat.co.uk/webinars/.

Additionally, we have recently strengthened our clinical web content with the creation of our ‘Disabilities and Conditions Guide’, which reconciles the use of a wash/dry toilet with certain disabilities. This information can be seen here: https://www.closomat.co.uk/knowledge/resources/disabilities-and-conditions/

Adapting to Long Term Health Conditions – a Reflection on Bathroom Design

  • Consider the challenges and opportunities of proactive future-proofing, reflecting on clinical reasoning, legislation and funding
  • Discuss strategies that support cost-effective adaptability, including equipment and adaptations
