Clinical Description

Arthritis is a common condition that causes pain and inflammation in a joint. The two most common types of arthritis are Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid.

Typical presentation of symptoms in the patient:

Osteoarthritis

Affecting the body’s cartilage, Osteoarthritis can cause stiffness and pain.

Deterioration of the tendons and ligaments.

Swelling of the joints.

Extreme cases can result in bone rubbing on bone causing pain and a loss of mobility.

Rheumatoid

Immune system deficiency.

Joint pain and swelling.

Extreme cases can see severe swelling leading to bones changing shape.
