Choice of WC can achieve positive health outcomes- for life

Changing a client’s WC can contribute towards providing a positive health outcome for a raft of health problems.
According to Closomat, PROMs where a conventional WC has been switched for one of its wash dry/ shower toilets consistently reflect enhanced QOL and HRQOL in mental and physical health.
“As we move towards integrated care, a holistic approach such as the provision of appropriate ‘tech’ to improve a patient’s health is increasingly a consideration,” observes Robin Tuffley, Closomat marketing manager. “A wash & dry/shower toilet, for example, improves hygiene, particularly with bladder, bowel and/or skin sensitivities or issues. It enables someone who may otherwise need help to use the toilet to go unaided, having a huge impact on their mental wellbeing.”
Uniquely, Closomat’s Palma Vita can be accessorised to accommodate changing needs as a person’s condition deteriorates- such as with Multiple Sclerosis, arthritis, MND- so it can continue to provide relief, potentially reducing the likelihood of hospital re-admission.
