Closomat is delighted to announce that they have been ‘highly commended’ by influential trade body Made in Britain, for their work in marketing Changing Places toilets.
In summer 2023, Closomat embarked on a social media and digital campaign to highlight and further promote the need for Changing Places Toilets, in line with the annual Changing Places Awareness Day, which was well received by followers and campaigners alike.


After the announcement by Made in Britain of their annual Impact Awards were taking nominations for category awards, such as ‘Marketing Campaign of the Year’, Closomat’s Marketing Manager, Robin Tuffley submitted the application. Robin commented “Changing Places has a special place in the heart of Closomat and we believe in it 100% and have done since 2007 when we helped to shape the original specification. Now, working in partnership with Sarah and Hadley Brisdion, who are both users and campaigners of CPT’s, we wanted to make a splash, which we did. Being able to extend the life of this successful campaign by submitting it for a Made in Britain Award, was an opportunity too good to pass up!”
With Closomat being the only British manufacturer of wash and dry toilets specifically designed for the disability market, they are proud to be members of Made in Britain.
