Hygiene Room by Closomat

The number of disabled children has increased by 62% in the past 25 years. As such school building guidelines specify inclusion of a specialist hygiene room, to address the needs of disabled pupils who may need help when toileting, equipped to encourage their independence, but also to deal with "little accidents", be the pupil able or disabled.

Closomat has a proven track record with hundreds of successfully completed rooms in primary, secondary, special needs schools, colleges and universities across the country. Its flexibility enables equipment supply only through to complete project management with ongoing service and maintenance of equipment.

What is a Hygiene Room toilet facility?

The facility provides more space (minimum of 12sqm) than a normal accessible toilet so that there is adequate room for all the extra equipment such facilities require and room for two carers to easily help the user. The extra equipment expected in these facilities include:

Overhead room coverage hoist systems

Height adjustable changing benches

Peninsular toilets
