The Changing Places Campaign

We believe that everyone has the right to deal with their toileting needs with as much independence and dignity as possible, whether inside their homes or in public spaces.

A Changing Place facility is designed specifically for people who cannot use a standard disabled toilet.  They need more space in order to accommodate the extra equipment needed, and room for up to two carers to provide assistance when necessary.

Put simply, having a Changing Place in their local shopping centre, cinema or library will enable them to do things many of us take for granted.

The Changing Places campaign is probably the most important initiative in the disability access field for the last 20 years.
